At a press conference held on June 9th, Mr Paul Leduc, Mayor of Brossard, announced a program to provide wirless Internet service to the City`s municipal parks.  A total of 10 parks will offer the service by the end of September 2010 while another 6 are scheduled for 2011.

This will allow various cultural and sporting organizations to have a high speed Internet access to various web databases or to transmit sporting results in real-time.  The free Internet service will obviously also be available to the 9000+ ZAP Montérégie users.

By providing WI-FI service to many of its parks, the majority of Brossard`s interior and exterior municipal sites will offer wireless Internet service. Currently, it is available in the arena, the municipal library, the “Centre socioculturel”, the various community centers and City Hall.  This confirms the status of Brossard as a leader in the deployment of wireless Internet technology in its municipal sites.

You can find the latest hotspots at “zapmonteregie.org”.  Amongst others, you will find the « Club de Yacht de Saint-Lambert » as well as the Radisson and Marie-Victorin parks in Brossard.
